The Opportunity → Sales and Logistics Assistant (Temporary – Maternity Leave – 20 Month Term)

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a keen appetite to grow their sales and logistics career in the forest manufacturing industry.

Under the direction of the Sinclar Sales Manager, you will maintain a high level of integrity and accountability with a focused approach to achieving the overall desired outcome of the department. This position requires an individual with a high level of professionalism and an ability to contribute to a positive culture based on mutual trust and respect while delivering results.

As an integral part of the Sinclar Sales team, you will be responsible for ongoing communication with the Sales Team including timely dispatching of mill delivered freight, utilizing the Lumber Management System to input new orders and assess inventory, maintaining current office systems and processes for organization and efficiency, and communicating with key stakeholders to ensure quality, consistency and ease of business. Excellent communication skills are essential in establishing positive relationships with customers and to ensure efficient and effective coordination internally among operations personnel, sales and administrative staff.

As the successful candidate, you will be detail oriented with an extremely high level of accuracy and good judgement. You demonstrate the ability to work competently under pressure and maintain organizational efficiency in the department. Ideally, you will have a minimum of one to three years’ of previous logistics experience and some knowledge in lumber and/or commodity sales. Consideration will also be given to those with a keen appetite for career development, personal growth and achievement.

The annual salary range for this position is $50,500 – $58,725.
